Applications for Gen.7 are officially closed, this is what happens next
Did you submit an application for Gen.7? Are you wondering what happens next? Just in case you did not get our email, this is what happens now:
We’ll have three stages of evaluation
1. Review the eligibility of all participating startups to filter the ones that do not meet minimum requirements of the competition:
- Lifestyle companies
- Non-scalable
- Non-innovative
- More than three years of operations
- Companies that have no plan for Puerto Rico
- Startups without traction
- Non-full time founders
2. 100 younoodle judges will evaluate the remaining startups by a ranking score based on their applications.
- Companies are evaluated by a minimum of three judges
- Statistical program to balance harsh or lenient judges scores
3. Finally, a board consisting of local & global members evaluates the top 80 to 100 companies and selects the up to 40 startups that will join Gen.7. A short interview process will be conducted after judging to asses the overall readiness of the top 80 to 100 companies.
We’ll keep startups updated every step of the way, but if you have any questions, shoot an email to cobi@parallel18.com
A Note to International Entrepreneurs
We encourage you to start applying for a U.S. visa in case you get accepted in the program. Even if you’re not accepted, a U.S. visa is always useful for entrepreneurs. Parallel18 has no leverage or influence to grant U.S. visas, this is why we suggest you start that process as soon as possible.
